Dilated Fundus Exam

A highly important test in which the pupil is opened chemically in order for the doctor to view more area of the retina and better asses any eye diseases.

Myopia management

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a common refractive error where distant objects appear blurry while close objects can be seen clearly. Myopia management focuses on slowing the progression of myopia, especially in children and adolescents, as high levels of myopia can lead to serious eye health issues later in life.

Digital Retinal Screening

Digital retinal screening offers numerous benefits, including early detection of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, and non-invasive, painless procedures. It provides high-resolution images for accurate diagnosis and monitoring disease progression. Early detection and treatment can also be cost-effective by preventing severe complications.

OCT – Optical Coherence Tomography

OCT may refer to optical coherence tomography, a noninvasive imaging technique that uses reflected light to create images of the back of the eye. It can help diagnose and manage many eye conditions, including:
  • Diabetic retinopathy: A complication of diabetes that can damage the retina and its blood vessels. OCT can help diagnose diabetic retinopathy, which can lead to blindness if left untreated.
  • Age-related macular degeneration: A condition that damages the macula, a part of the retina, causing loss of central vision.
  • Glaucoma: A disease that damages the optic nerve, usually caused by fluid buildup in the front part of the eye.

Chronic Dry Eye Relief

We treat chronic dry eye by identifying underlying causes and using methods like artificial tears, prescription eye drops, warm compresses, eyelid hygiene, and more.

Lasik Consult

A LASIK consult is a comprehensive eye examination and consultation appointment to determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) eye surgery. LASIK is a popular refractive surgery used to correct vision problems such as nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism.

The goal of the LASIK consult is to ensure that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about undergoing LASIK surgery and to ensure that the surgery is likely to be safe and effective for you.

Diabetic Eye Screening

Diabetic retinopathy is a diabetes complication that affects the eyes. It is caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (retina). High blood sugar levels over time can lead to this damage.
Symptoms include:

  • Blurred vision.
  • Fluctuating vision.
  • Impaired color vision.
  • Dark or empty areas in your vision.
  • Vision loss.

Regular monitoring and prompt treatment can help prevent or slow the progression of diabetic retinopathy and reduce the risk of vision loss.
Regular eye exams: Early detection through regular eye exams is crucial.

Scleral Lenses

Scleral lenses are a type of rigid gas-permeable contact lens that are larger in diameter compared to standard contact lenses. They are designed to rest on the sclera (the white part of the eye) and vault over the cornea, creating a tear-filled reservoir between the lens and the cornea. They provide clear, stable vision, often superior to glasses or soft contact lenses, especially for conditions like keratoconus, severe dry eye, or post-surgical complications. Scleral lenses can be life-changing for individuals with specific eye conditions, providing both vision correction and relief from discomfort.
