Christopher Vargas, O.D.
Dr. Christopher Vargas, O.D. is a board certified and therapeutic licensed optometrist who has always had a passion for helping others. Dr. Vargas completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry and Biology at UC Irvine and then attended the prestigious four year doctorate program at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Upon graduation in 2001, Dr. Vargas chose to return to Orange County to be close to family and friends. He is currently a member of the Orange County Optometric Society, American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association. He is a candidate to become a fellow at the American Academy of Optometry.
Throughout his professional career he has welcomed a diverse patient base and is one of the few optometrists in the country who is fluent in Spanish. You can routinely find him at health fairs, school screenings, local service clubs and church events volunteering his time and efforts for the betterment of the community. Dr. Vargas believes in giving back to those who have given him so much.
Because of his devotion to patient care, Dr. Vargas only uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment to conduct comprehensive eye exams and services. He works closely with a network of surgeons who believe in the same philosophy.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vargas likes to spend time outdoors with his wife and two children kayaking, hiking, camping and photographing. As a matter of fact, all of the artwork in the office is from Dr. Vargas’ personal collection.
Sophia Chau Valdivia, O.D.
Dr. Sophia Chau Valdivia graduated from the renown Southern California College of Optometry in 2018. She completed her clinical training at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base Naval Hospital, the Veteran’s Affair Hospital of West Los Angeles, and Coastal Vision Medical Group. Dr. Valdivia is nationally board certified to manage and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma and dry eyes, and is also certified to fit specialty lenses such as myopia control lenses in children. She enjoys cooking, traveling and discovering new places to eat with her husband and two children when she’s not in the office. In addition to English, Dr. Valdivia also speaks Vietnamese and Spanish. She loves being an optometrist and is eager to care for her community’s visual needs and ocular health.
Suzy
With almost 2 decades of optical experience, Suzy became part of the Anaheim Eye Care team in 2014. She takes pride in assisting our patients with professionalism and a friendly smile while selecting the appropriate lens and frame to best suit their needs. Suzy’s attention to detail will ensure our patients will receive quality care and an overall positive experience. While not at the office, Suzy is enjoying her time with her husband and 3 beautiful kids.
